From 19 June 2026, every organisation that handles personal data will, by law, be required to operate a formal complaints process. The new obligations from the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 mean that every organisation must give individuals a clear and accessible route to raise a data protection complaint. This document can be used by organisations to confirm their process.
